Our story

Canada on my mind is a small, independent shop built around one idea: Canada deserves better souvenirs.

It's run by a German Canadian who spent years as an expat in Germany, always reaching for a small piece of home to keep the feeling of Canada close. The souvenirs on offer never quite managed it. Too generic, too plasticky, too much moose-in-a-canoe. So this store exists to do it properly: designs rooted in real Canadian places, from city skylines to ranch country, with a bit of local humour thrown in.

Every piece is made to order and printed when you buy it, not mass produced and warehoused. And since everything ships straight to your door, you never have to sacrifice suitcase space to bring a piece of Canada home. If you are sending a gift to family overseas, our print partner makes it close to them, so it arrives in days instead of weeks and you still pay in Canadian dollars.

Where are you based?

Cochrane, Alberta, just west of Calgary at the edge of the Rockies. The designs are made here.

Are your products made in Canada?

Orders for Canadian addresses are printed in Canada. Orders going abroad are printed by our partner in the region closest to the recipient, so a gift for Germany is made in Europe. That is on purpose: faster delivery, no customs surprises.

Why is everything made to order?

No warehouse, no waste, and no design that has to sell a thousand units to exist. It means we can make a mug for Thunder Bay or a cap for Medicine Hat and it still makes sense.
